CAÑON CITY – Cañon City attorney Dan Slater recently returned from attending a two-day seminar in Denver entitled “Blockbuster Auto 2004”. The seminar focused on helping victims of auto accidents better navigate the legal and insurance system, and the cutting-edge changes currently going on in the auto litigation arena.
Slater, who practices personal injury law in Cañon City, said the seminar gave him more ideas and suggestions on how to help clients who have been injured in an automobile accident. “Too often, insurance companies think they can ignore their obligations to people hurt due to the negligence of those they insure. This seminar not only provided key information on the latest tactics insurance companies are using, but also helped me better understand many of the medical conditions faced by my clients after they’ve been in an auto accident.”
The seminar included a wide range of topics, from understanding mild brain injuries to updates on how the recent change from “no-fault” to “tort” auto insurance is being handled across the state. The seminar was held at the Denver Marriott Southeast on January 29th and January 30th.
Dan Slater recently opened his own law office in Cañon City, with a focus on civil litigation (including personal injuries and civil disputes), real estate law, employment law, and small business law.
